Actually reformatting will not kill off the U3 disk image, but it will 
reformat the other partition to whatever you choose. Getting rid of the 
U3 disk image can only be done on a Windows computer which I just did 
because I just bought a 3-pack of these drives. BTW let me test one on an 
old computer if I have one around that might do.
