Just wondered if anyone had seen this (from my connection log) before:

Form” could not be extracted because an unknown error (-120) occurred.
The entire message is included.

My insurance co. tried to send a claim form PDF file attached to an email (twice!!), but all I got was the above. In fact, now every time I get any
new mail I get the above error message (twice!!)

I can't seem to get rid of the pesky thing. The actual mail doesn't show up in my in box (nor anywhere else I can see) so I haven't any idea how
to get rid of it.

I'm using Chris's P3 version of 2.0v3. The mail came through Comcast's
SMTP server.

Just to clarify, are you seeing this error with ALL inbound email? Or only with ones with attachments, or just ones with specific types of attachments, or only from your insurance co, or what?

I do have a vague memory of their being an attachment bug having something to do with space characters in the file name under OS X or something like that. I don't remember the details, but I kind of, sort of, remember making a hack to fix it (one of these days, I'll start documenting the crap I work on so I remember details more than 30 minutes after I'm done with the task).

Humm... on my emailer app mods page, there is a version marked Attachment Name Space, so yeah, I must have done something at some point. You can grab it at <http://www.mythtech.net/Emailer/ Emailer_App_Mods/AttachmentNameSpace.sit>

Right now, I can't tell you any more about that version then what is above. I also can't tell you if it supports SMTP Auth or not. Nor if it has anything to do with the problem you are seeing.

You can also check the permissions on your Emailer Files folder and be sure they are set correctly. I can't tell you what they should be, but full read/write access to it and all subfolders/items probably wouldn't be a bad thing. It could just be one of the files needed to decode the attachment can't be read because of a permissions problem.
