I ran into it again, so I'll remind everybody (all those
who are still "alive") that the address book does not permit 
you to "save" when you try to add an individual entry already 
in the book to a group entry already in the book.

My field expedient for this is to also add a fictitious
individaul entry to the group entry.  Now you are allowed
to "save."  Then I back out the fictitious entry from the
group entry by deleting it.

This is to also remind that I, for one, am still "alive"
with my WallStreet running 9.2.2 (most of the time) and
10.2.8 mainly just for my digital camera.  (I got the
WallStreet on eBay for $177.)  I also enjoy the fact that 
I never had to replace all my SCSI peripherals, and that all 
my golden-oldie programs do everything just fine.  With a 
wireless PCMCIA card that works in both 9 and 10, and a
30gb hard drive that I just put in, life is sweet!

So it looks like CE can live on indefinitely at this address.
