I moved from Claris Emailer to Outlook Express in OS 9 years ago specifically for two reasons: 1) I needed multiple accounts that easily used secure logins and different ports. 2) I needed to read HTML emails. I then moved from Outlook Express to Entourage when I moved to OS X and Intel Macs. In the early days I tried to avoid HTML email, but I gave up on that at least six years ago. All the mails that come from the NY Times, your banks, merchants, Amazon, etc. are highly formatted mails. They also may use Java and other tools to make them work. If you're not reading HTML email, I can not use email as it is now. I don't use or need HTML for casual text message such as this. There is no need for HTML when plain text will do fine. But for all those other messages -- which users of Claris Emailer can not see -- you must have HTML support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Roger S.
