Bea, Some applications are scriptable and others not, e.g.you can't use scripts with GyazMail but you can with PowerMail. And of course you can with Emailer. It is all set up for you when you install Emailer. You don't have to write the scripts yourself. With Emailer open you will see there is one menu item which is a symbol (like an old fashioned scroll). This is the scripts menu. If you pull it down you will see a list of scripts that have been installed for use with Emailer. I'm not using Emailer any more but can give you an example of how to use the change subject script with PowerMail: I select an incoming message whose subject I want to change. Then pull down the scripts menu and click on "change subject.scpt". A dialogue box opens asking me to type the subject I want. After doing that and clicking OK, the subject is changed. There is a specific procedure for using each script based on what the script does. I don't have access to Emailer right now to give an example of one of Emailer's scripts. Perhaps someone using Emailer could do that. Hope this helps.
