We have a Dual USB G3 iBook that we take on trips so we can dump pictures to it each evening and clear the camera cards for the next day. It's currently running the (latest update to) 10.4.11 and doing just fine. Not =quite= as fast as my 2002 QuickSilver G4 (933 mhz) but the only newer things it can't run are the Intel versions. And with an original Airport card it can surf the 'Net just fine from our home LAN and hotels or other hot spots. I wouldn't want to use it solely -- the keyboard isn't as nice as my MacAlly ikey, and the display is limited -- but I don't anticipate a need to upgrade any time soon. May need to get a replacement "travelling" charger, tho... but I like being able to plug it into any wall outlet in Europe (with the proper plug adapter)... on on the river cruise ships Grand Circle Travel uses. -- Selah!
