We have not done a CrossFit swim practice in a long while. This morning at
the 5:45am practice in 40+ degree temps, the Nova Masters hit the set again.

After a good warmup set of about 2,000 yards, I gave a 1X through practice
CrossFit swim set before we actually swam the real (3X thru) set.
Everyone got a chance to try out the exercises first - and ask questions.

Then they got up and did it for real!

It was a terrific challenging workout for those who got into it - and I was
impressed by many of the swimmers in the cruiser lanes who tried it out for
the first time :)

Jeff Wheery was impressive with his determination and most of his form - and
Bob Johnson's pushups were pretty stellar.
Lynn K. made the most new friends with her yellow/orange yoga mat set up on
the deck especially during the situps.
Jen and Jason led the fast lanes, but...

I can not say that I saw an entirely legal set of this CrossFit session this
morning and therefore did not recognize any new records.

Big DQs were:

Incomplete pullouts - pushups - air squats - and numbers of repetitions.

Also, illegal turns or stroke technique on the swim 50s - believe it or
not, since that should be the easiest part!

Good luck at noon.

And hope we get another go at this set - after Regional Championships.

GO NOVA!
