Has anyone had success building EMANE on Red Hat 6 - specifically when building
the dependencies from source?
The configure script is breaking on the pcap check step. There error is:
checking for pcap.h... yes
checking for pcap_open_live in -lpcap... no
configure: error: "pcap not installed"
I built pcap 1.8.1 from source and have ensured that the LD_LIBRARY_PATH,
LD_RUN_PATH, and CPLUS_INCLUDE_DIR are all pointing to the correct directories.
Looking at the pcap libraries, pcap_open_live was built, and I have no problem
linking and calling pcap_open_live from a simple test
