This position requires daily administrative activities, including providing technical services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions. Designing, developing or recommending security systems solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirement into processes and systems. *"Responsibilities:* • Exercises independent judgment in developing method, technique, and evaluation criteria to be used in obtaining results. • Counsel's users and associates on the appropriate manner in which to handle sensitive information. • Works with clients and managers to maintain low loss exposure. • Works to enlarge client base by providing value added services. • Performs Technical analysis and suggests strategies for improving Corporate Information Security Programs. • Evaluates and defines risks associated with current and proposed technologies. • Assists in briefing clients and managers on challenges with Information Security Technology and practices. • Conducts Information Security risk assessment of internal and external clients. • Assists in the development and implementation of Security Awareness campaigns and events. • Assists in reviewing Internal Audit findings. • Assists in identifying weaknesses in current operations and works with managers to bring programs up to standards. • Researches complex problems to ascertain possible solutions. • Designs leading edge solutions to support key initiatives. • Monitors industry trends/standards. • Interacts heavily with vendors, clients and corporate personnel to reach a solution meeting the organizations needs. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Regular, predictable attendance. *8:00am to 5:00pm* *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ** Understand, Communicate and administer established IT security policy * Address non compliance issues and refer to relevant owning manager * Contribute on a proactive basis to trend analysis and policy development * Approval of server setup prior to installation * Check & improve spam mail filter settings where appropriate * Check & improve web content filter settings where appropriate * Run security reports using 3rd party tools * Support quarterly perimeter scans through third party or Qualys * Second Level support for security related end user problems * Approve and maintain documentation of Firewall port settings openings * Approve VPN requests * Check, run and maintain email security system * Maintain, create and update policies and procedures * Review Quarantined Mail as needed * Perform security trend and technology related research as necessary *QUALIFICATIONS: * * Knowledge of security administration and hardening of various OS platforms * Working knowledge or experience with URL content filtering tool * Working knowledge of email SPAM filtering product * Enterprise patch management and anti-virus experience * Firewall security policies * Active Directory and NDS experience * Years of *Experience*: 3+ NICE TO HAVE: * PGP Encryption *Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
