Quality Assurance
We are seeking Quality Assurance Testing resources for our direct client in the Milwaukee area on either a full time or contract basis. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of working successful projects in the area, is preferred to be a US Citizen, and will have strong communication and presentation skills. Requirements: 1) System Test: Develop test plans and procedures at various levels of software and system test by actively participating in the system requirements development, design, and implementation. Execute and/or lead the execution of installation and test procedures, report test results, and report and track test problems. Lead evaluation and use of automated test tools for a large-scale software system. Support the continued improvement of test methods, capabilities, facilities, and equipment. 2) Provide software quality assurance expertise to the performance of software development activities, reviews, and software work product audits in accordance with organizational software development policies and procedures. Provide software quality assurance leadership and perspective for the various projects under development. Represent software quality assurance interests at the various program reviews conducted. Support software configuration management system administration. Help ensure compliance with Quality Management System. 3) Participation in team meetings, working group meetings, teleconferences and other interactive sessions with internal and external organizations and personnel. Skills and Qualifications Required: " BS Degree in engineering or equivalent. " Minimum of 3 years experience working with software and/or system test and quality assurance. " Experience in testing practices including test design, test execution, regression testing, and test problem report tracking. " Candidate must be able to understand complex software systems; to design appropriate test strategies; to work independently and as part of a team; to communicate effectively; to create effective presentations; and to maintain complete, comprehensive, and accurate records. " Knowledge of basic software quality assurance and configuration management practices. Desired: " Background in a Quality Assurance organization, with specific experience performing software quality assurance activities such as review of software development activities and software work product audits, and implementing organizational policy. " Familiarity with Windows PCs and operating systems and Microsoft Office products. " Experience with Configuration Management systems and processes.
