Position: Sr. Unix Systems Engineer Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6 Months * The Senior UNIX Systems Engineer is responsible for planning and overseeing the monitoring, stability and performance of the application environment for several high profile products.this position is tasked with the in-depth diagnosis and resolution of complex problems and the escalation to appropriate internal areas. Through formal and self training, the Engineer should become the application subject matter expert and remain abreast of new technologies. In addition, Engineers will devise and assist in implementing solutions to recognize and reduce the number of "common" incidents reported, enabling level one support to respond more quickly to customer issues. Engineers are responsible for keeping all appropriate groups informed of the ongoing status and the ultimate solution for each issue.
