Statistician - Discovery funds for Medical Home. Medical Management has an
urgent need to support a key CareFirst Medical Management initiative,
Medical Home. There is a large and growing need to conduct statistical
analysis and data mining on our data sets and CareFirst does not have the
internal resources with available bandwidth to perform these tasks in a
timely manner. The timeliness and quality of this work is critical and will
be utilize to help make key strategic, business, financial, and care
coordination decisions for CareFirst.
Job Description: CareFirst has an urgent need to support a key Medical
Management initiative, Medical Home. There is a large and growing need to
conduct statistical analysis and data mining on our data sets. The
timeliness and quality of the deliverables is critical and will be utilized
to help make key strategic, business, financial, and care coordination
decisions for CareFirst.
1. Skills/Eperience: 5 years of expertise in* **SAS **Enterprise** Miner
software {Must Have Experience},* SPSS, Access and Excel.
2. 5 years experience in SQL expertise, programming, report generation,
Access database
3. 10 years of experience with medical and pharmacy claims, and very large
data sets used
for Statistical Analysis, Trend Reporting, Forcasting and Planning
4. 10 years expertise in advanced statistical and data mining techniques,
including:
*regression
*time series
*neural networks
*decision trees
*path analysis
*Structured Equation Modeling (SEM)
*Time to event analysis, (Proportional hazards)
This request is very specific to the SAS tools and modeling methods listed
above. Candidates must have the requisite experience with Medical and
Pharmacy claims, the analytic tools and processes referenced and the level
of skill and experience. Do not submit candidates with SAS experience in
other areas or experience with similar tools. Do not submit Jr level
candidates.
