Technical Writer with State Govt Experience is Required.

Technical writer/technical documentation specialist to assist with the 
development of agency policies, standards and operating procedures; the 
documentation for the implementation of enterprise solutions department wide; 
and the updating as necessary of DIRM's Continuity of Operations and Business 
Continuity Plans, Index of Computer Databases, etc. Documentation support will 
include, but is not limited to: Process and procedure development, functional 
requirements development, status reports, issues log, presentations, 
informational and instructional documentation, policy development, meeting 
agendas and minutes, and other technical and functional documents as well as 
assist with various other technical and support functions. 
The position will maintain documentation in organized logical fashion for easy 
retrieval by staff.
Required:
1. Experience creating and editing documentation
2. Experience communicating goals/processes/procedures clearly to end 
users/representatives with varied skill sets (e.g., business staff, 
technicians, managers, etc.)
3. Experience conducting research using varied sources including web-based
4. Experience developing and delivering presentation materials
5. Experience organizing and maintaining inventory of various documentation
6. Experience documenting and distributing meeting agendas and minutes
7. Outstanding written communication and organizational skills
8. Proficiency in multi-tasking
9. Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Internet browsers, 
including the writing of macros, developing/formatting tables, creating forms, 
and other advanced functions
10. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but also adept in 
functioning as a team member
