Title: *Sr Business Objects XI Solution Architect* Location: Oakland, CA Duration: 6 Months **** LOCALS PREFERRED – NEED TO GO FOR F2F AFTER TELEPHONIC ROUND **** * * *Job Description:* - Should have the capability to develop BO Universe XI (past exp aware of migrating of BO versions to the most recent version.) - They will be working with the internal clients to gather requirements and get specs for the Universe and reports that are needed. - They will Create reports, based on these overall business needs and create self service reporting model. *Technical Skills: * - They need to be proficient with Business Objects XI - Fair understanding of Relational Database (Oracle) date structure / schema - OLAP to design a self service model - ETL - Data Modeling (nice to have) - Performance tuning (BI and database layers) NOTE: Seeking an elite person with a history in the area of Business Objects *Required Skills:* Solution Architect (Business Objects - BI) *Basic Qualifications:*** Ø 10 years of IT experience in all major areas like, systems development: application development, technical analyst, systems analyst, business analyst (perhaps not in title, but in responsibilities) technical designer, and architect. Broad technical experience (example: application design, middleware, XML/SOAP, DB design, Business Intelligence, Collaboration systems) Ø 6 years in the business intelligence realm Ø 4 year experience with Business Objects XI (Web intelligence, desktop intelligence reporting, universe designing ) , including features, SDK and system compatibility Ø 5 years of overall experience with Business Objects BI products Ø 5 years of Technical or application architect experience on several large-scale, enterprise level projects. *Preferred Qualifications:*** ü Proven hands-on technical Business Intelligence architecture expertise having designed and developed architecture solutions and work processes for large volume data. ü Understands database technology (including data warehouse) theory to include normalization, SQL and OLAP ü Knowledge of industry accepted design techniques including Star and Snowflake schemas. ü Excellent grasp of data security and privacy concerns and how to seamlessly apply integrated security solutions (entitlements, authentication, authorization) into BI frameworks. ü Knowledge of other tools used in Business Intelligence development, such as data quality analysis, packaged analytics, performance management, etc. ü Knowledge and development experience with one or more ETL tools such as Informatica, AB Initio, Ascential, Microsoft DTS, etc. and Data Mining tools is a plus.
