Ø Flexibility in working hours to facilitate communication with remote teams Ø Strong communication skills are required (both written and oral) Ø Experience using SQL to access data Ø Experience in SQL tuning and database performance tuning. Ø Understanding of application development and environment and database design preferred. Ø Ability to work in a team environment with members in remote locations Ø Willingness to work after hours and weekends, both scheduled & on-call Ø High level of job responsiveness and attention to detail *Duties:* ** Ø Backup databases, create and change databases, recover damaged databases from a backup, grant permissions to database objects, participate in performance/load testing of database through an application, perform SQL query tuning, database tuning and database performance analysis Ø Follow the processes, procedures and standards that have been documented by the Application DBA Services Team Ø Assists resources and teams across the enterprise in solving database issues and answering database related questions Ø Perform database change management activities and participate in daily change management meetings Ø Take turns on Helpline and DBA pager, providing 24x7 supports for Oracle DBA functions.
