Hi Partner,
This is another requirement that has come in through Lockheed Martin, Please
send suitable resumes with rates and contact information.
Position: Validation Database Redesign Architect
Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: 6+ months
DESCRIPTION
Act as the Architect/Technical Project lead for the redesign and
implementation of SSA s Validation Database (VDB). The VDB is the suite of
utility software that creates and manages test data from the SSA Production
environment. The VDB enables application development teams to extract
selected data from production, sanitize the data to hide actual SSN and
other Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and clone the sanitized
data to create multiple occurrences of selected data. While the VDB deals
exclusively with z/OS (mainframe)-based data, the redesigned VDB system will
possibly have a Web-based user interface based on Microsoft .Net technology
that must interact with z/OS processes and batch jobs.
The incumbent will work with SSA and Lockheed Martin staff to:
- Lead an alternatives analysis to identify the optimal technical
approach for the system. This analysis will identify multiple system
architectures and must consider the integration of existing mainframe-based
COTS products such as FileAid/RDX and possibly other Extract/Transform/Load
(ETL) products with custom VDB application code. This analysis must also
consider the advantages/disadvantages of different user-interface approaches
(e.g., TSO/ISPF, Web) when interacting with batch job submission, job
tracking, and exchanging data about the test data (metadata) between the VDB
System and the mainframe-based test data repositories.
- Lead the detailed design of the system.
- Participate in the system s development and implementation, acting
in a role that ensures that the vision for the new VDB System is followed
during its development..
