Position Name: Infrastructure Architect
Position Duration: 6 Months
Position Location: Simsbury, CT
Position Description:
Infrastructure Architecture staff participates in the development and
management of the infrastructure components of project plans related to the
application development initiatives, from project planning and design
through testing, implementation and maintenance.
Incumbents in this job family have a considerable understanding of current
and emerging IT products, services, processes, and methodologies.
Incumbents must be able to understand implications and risks involved in
planning to re-host applications in a new data center.
Incumbents have solid technical and organizational skills, participate in
IT strategic planning. In addition, incumbents have a team orientation and
are focused, at all times, on improving business operations.
SPECIFIC NEEDS:
Documenting current state of existing portfolio of applications using
Visio templates. Reviewing proposed future state for completeness and
compatibility with standards. Should have good infrastructure understanding
of Oracle 10g OAS, WebLogic deployment environments, UNIX (Solaris and
HPUX), and Windows.
