Position: Senior DBA - Oracle / SQL / Teradata Location: Ohio Duration: 6+Months Rate: Open Description: This Database Administrator is responsible for logical and physical database design; maintaining physical databases on specific database technologies in the production and other environments; implementing production database changes. This is a 24x7 operation; candidate must be flexible to be on-call weekends & nights on a rotating basis with other team members. Requirements 6 to 8 years experience in a high transaction volume data processing environment. 6 to 8 years experience in Oracle 8i, 9i and 10g database environments. Experience in analysis, design and implementation of database applications in a business environment. Experience with Oracle's tool sets. Experience with Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g backup & recovery strategies. Substantial prior experience developing/tuning applications. Substantial prior experience with UNIX shell scripting. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Independent problem solving ability. Strong interpersonal skills and must be a team player. Experience with Oracle RAC required.
