Position-- Powerbuilder Developer Location - Tumwater WA Duration - 10+ months contract Skills Requirement : At least 2 years experience with Sybase PowerBuilder 10.x At least 10 years experience with Sybase PowerBuilder Expert skills working with Sybase SQL Anywhere Expert knowledge of database replication and how it affects software development Expert SQL skills. Ability to work as a member of a team Ability to write technical documentation Ability to communicate in an open and friendly manner with customers and teammates Exercises active listening skills Experience diagnosing and analyzing production bugs Expert knowledge of the Sybase PowerBuilder PFC A working and demonstrated knowledge of UML Ability to: * Work on-site * Work as a leader and a team player to meet business needs and facilitate progress * Communicate effectively orally and in writing, including technical writing * Learn complex and dynamic business requirements * Timely/immediate attention to system problems/glitches. Scope of Work: * Creating Adhoc data reports using SQL * Designing and developing software, stored procedures, database views, and database functions; * Developing database scripts, tables, and data changes; * Documenting issues, work plans, ERD and UML diagrams, design documents; * Participation in design reviews; * Assisting in the development of a deployment plan; * Performing routine and 2nd tier support on existing system so that it can continue to function while work on this project is underway. This includes providing support to all sections within the state WIC office as well as all WIC agencies, clinics, and sites; * Create detailed documentation of any unfinished work * Providing 30 days of on-site support for the software after it is deployed. * Performing knowledge transfer to other contractors and DOH employees -- Please let me know if you are available for this position or revert back to me with your updated resume along with your best Rate.
