All required skills must be in job description. *QA Testing Manager Location : Highland Park, IL 6 months, CTH Rate : DOE/hr* *Start: 2 weeks **Interview :phone & in-person* *(Need to be 100% fit and willing to go CTH- MUST.) * *Looking for locals, who can attend in-person.* The successful candidate will direct the activities of QA and other IT teams in support of 120+ applications. He/She will also own the product release strategy and sign off. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-* Accountable for defining QA, BA, and Change Control templates, procedures and methodologies, and communicating these processes to all involved. Must work at establishing automated test procedures, software, and hardware to thoroughly test and debug new products. Must establish a plan for managing resource utilization and constraints, especially during critical release periods, as well as work prioritization Must be able to communicate with all involved, IT and non-IT, the status on product releases and timelines. Must analyze and report test results to senior management Must put in place strong matrix for measuring the effectiveness of QA and Development releases Is expected to contribute to the long term strategy of the IT department, and enforce current policies and procedures Specifically to QA, must define clearly all areas of QA, which include but not limited to: Manual test plans, integration, system, Black Box, Volume, regression, and load testing. Must manage quality assurance and product releases with off-shore companies Works with the business and others within the IT organization to help define, validate, and ensure completeness of functional and technical requirements. Works with the business to ensure documentation is signed off on. Reviews team testing documentation (including plans, conditions, and scripts) based on technical and user requirements and identifies and documents gaps in quality for the various applications and processes. Ensure comprehensive Business Analysis Requirements are being documented and signed off prior to work commencement. Documentations must be kept up to date for the duration of a project. Must take advantage of Mercury software for all types of testing. Must implement solid training procedures, using testing tools and other preferred knowledge transfer methods. Ensures a "customer focused" approach to QA and support across the technical services organization. Leads all QA projects to successful completion "on time" and within budget.
