LOCAL TO BALTIMORE / MD / NORTHERN AREA A MUST. Description: Performance Oracle Applications and DBA maintenance and support tasks related to all HIGLAS environments. Provide 7 x 24 hour support when nominated to be On-Call. The person should be capable of performing the following tasks: Analyze and apply Oracle patches to the application and database tier Clone Oracle Applications and database Troubleshoot Oracle applications problems Provide performance support to Oracle Applications Backing up and restoring Oracle applications Using RMAN to back up and restore Oracle databases Carry out capacity planning and pro-active monitoring Technical Skill Sets: Required: The following skills are required in a production environment: · Oracle Applications DBA with 11.5.10+ experience for a minimum of 5 years on Unix platforms. · Participated in an Oracle Applications Upgrade cycle Worked on AIX platform Should have worked with RMAN 10g to backup, restore and clone Oracle databases Proficient in analyzing applying patches, cloning and troubleshooting Oracle Applications environments · Should have performance tuning experience · Should have Oracle Applications on 11i Oracle RAC experience Should have Maintained Oracle Application log and configuration files Oracle DataGuard · Excellent written and verbal communications skills. · Positive attitude, strong mentoring skills, flexible. · Able to multitask and work across many teams. · May be required to work after hours and weekends. · Able to document and articulate tasks performed. · Preferred: AIX platform, RAC/Oracle Applications on RAC, R12 upgrade experience.
