UNIX admin Ann Arbor, MI (locals only) 3-6months++ Rate: Max $50 per hr on C2C
Short Description: Installs, configures and maintains an organization's operating systems. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware. Detects, diagnoses, and reports UNIX or Windows related problems on servers. Complete Description: Candidates must have strong UNIX (Solaris) administration skills and be proficient with Windows Servers/Active Directory. Citrix experience is a plus. They should have experience working in large (many servers, many applications) environments. While this position will generally be day shift work there is a potential for night shifts to support server patching and application upgrades. Tasks: 1. Provides support for the day-to-day operations 2. Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and providing ongoing basic support of the server hardware and software systems for UNIX, Sun, Solaris, Windows 2000/2003, and Citrix Metaframe systems 3. Server check out (from a prepared checklist) 4. Hardware inventory management 5. Software application and upgrade (from a prepared checklist) 6. Applies patches and upgrades for client system servers 7.
