Both ... no longer part of the release, and special flags required.
Complex is no longer maintained. It was an early addition to the package
before release 1.0.0 and has not been updated since then.
The program is still there - you can compile it using "make check" and
run it from the emboss source directory.
If this program is useful to anyone then we will reinstate it in the
main package. Do please let us know what you think of it.
