i noticed that you have to load Apache::Session before HTML::Embperl,
else it doesn't find the right session stuff (Embperl.pm doesn't
require Apache::Session itself).

i don't remember what the symptoms turned out to be, so this mightn't
have anything to do with your problem ;)
(its more of a bug report)
