What I see is that, for reasonably large pages, the entire page comes
across, and then there is a delay while it sits there waiting for the
connection to close. In the browser status it's saying something
like "Received 9999 bytes of 9999 total". Then finally after a few
seconds, it comes. On small pages it's worse, the page doesn't
arrive at all until after that delay--probably because it's all in
the first buffer. If I set optEarlyHttpHeader the problem goes away,
but I can't do that on all my sites.
Any thoughts as to what might be causing this, or what I might do about it?
Apache/1.3.12, Embperl 1.3b3 or 4. I'm all set to move to the latest
Embperl and Apache, but I haven't had time to test it yet, so if
that's going to fix it--that's great.

I'm not sure which upsets me more: that people are so unwilling to accept
responsibility for their own actions, or that they are so eager to regulate
everyone else's.
