If you are able to do so, it would be nice if you share the arguments why
you would use Embperl, instead of PHP. I guess more people would be
interested in this sort of informations.

I have thought about using perlcc to compile pages (more for performance
resaon, then for crypting/hiding, but this doesn't matter here). For a long
time perlcc was tagged as alpha and not quite stable, so I didn't have done
anything in this direction. I didn't have checked back for a while what the
state of perlcc is.
Another simpler way would be to use EMBPERL_INPUT_FUNC to read the pages.
You can provide a function that does the actual reading of the file, so you
are able to crypt your pages and let this input function decrypt it. If you
write a small C function that does uncryption, you can totaly hide things.
