Every file runs in it own namespace, so when the module exports symbol, you
must put the use in the file where want to use the exported symbols. In your
case in base.epl (or you have use the full name i.e. Croak::croak)
You can put the use in a [! !], this is only executed on the first run. This
make thinks a little faster
