This confirms my suspection. It simply has something to do with the load
order. ([* *] Blocks are compiled before [! !] by Embperl) Using only one
sort of Blocks should solve your problem. (This isn't a problem anymore with
Embperl 2.0)

XS_Init does not reset anything inside Perl, so I can't imagine that theres
is anything that gives a conflict.
