I am the one who installed all this, a good few months ago now. I'm
afraid that I don't remember the exact details of the install process,
but I was able to install mod_perl 1.21 on their FreeBSD virtual server
using their command "vinstall mod_perl".
For installing mod_perl, see their support doc:
http://www.iserver.net/support/virtual/web/mod/mod_perl/index.html
I was then able to download the latest Embperl source and install it,
using the Apache src files which are found under the "apache" directory,
which is in the virtual user home dir. I'm sorry, but I can't give you a
detailed script for this process. It does work just fine however for us.
Version of Apache is 1.3.12.
I have found the tech support at iserver.net to be quite helpful, but I
hope things aren't changing with the shift to Verio. That would be
unfortunate. They are the people to sort out the details of installing
your own Perl packages, not me - their systems are always being updated,
and I did all this back in March I think.
Best wishes
-Neil
