At least the first %s is needed, I am not sure about the second.

Great! I will include it in the INSTALL.pod file in the Embperl
distribution.

Unfortunately Embperl is currently not working together with ActiveStates
perliis.dll, which would make things faster, but I hope I can resolve this
issue in 2.0b7
