Hi all, The first public (beta) release of ewok, a web content management system written in Embperl, is now available under the GPL at:
http://www.openfusion.com.au/labs/ewok/ ewok features: - a browser-based file manager - EmbperlObject-based templating / page-wrapping - a staging/publishing model that allows you to publish your embperl pages as static html (or hybrid static/embperl pages) - arbitrary metadata attached to files and directories and inherited along an EmbperlObject-type path - text markup features that allow simple content creation by non-technical users - various other stuff Current limitations: - only supports Embperl 1.3.4 (2.0x to come) - requires a unix-based apache, mod_perl, and root (or apache user) access - staging directories require some kind of (Basic-compatible) authentication A demo is available at http://www.openfusion.com.au/ewok-demo/. Enjoy!
