perl Makefile.PL debug
make test TESTARGS="-h --gdb"
and send me the resulting stackbacktrace.
 

I have finally got rid of my old Rad Hats and Embperl2 runs on Gentoo 
2004.0 just great.

Sorry, I don't have machine to test it anymore (thanks god! ;-))
