Hi, Embperl 2.3 works with Apache 1.3 and 2.0 and 2.2.
Embperl 1.3.x is not maintains anymore, so there is a good chance that it does not work with Perl 5.8.8 Regarding your core dump it looks like you did not have a PerlModule to load Embperl.pm in your httpd.conf. If you unsure, please send your httpd.conf.
