If Embperl-2.4.0 is considered stable/non-beta, it should be committed to the CPAN repository. At the moment, 2.3 is still considered the stable release and, as this is a production server, I'm not moving away from it for the moment.
Perhaps a backport ought to be created to alleviate this issue in the CPAN version of Embperl? -R On 8/2/2010 2:13 AM, Gerald Richter - ECOS wrote: > > > http://www.embperl.org/downloads/Embperl-2.4.0_3.tar.gz > > > > Gerald > > > > > > *From:* Frank Wesemann [mailto:f.wesem...@fotofinder.net] > *Sent:* Friday, July 30, 2010 11:48 AM > *To:* Robby Desmond; embperl@perl.apache.org > *Subject:* Re: Issue with getting Apache to pass %ENV to sub-scripts on > Apache2/mod_perl2 > > > > Robby Desmond schrieb: > > To answer my own question (thanks to the help of our programmer here), > > the issue is with the way Embperl.pm attempts to read parameters from a > > CGI object. > > > > Embperl.pm lines 320-22: > > > > # the param_fetch needs CGI.pm 2.43 > > #$params = $cgi->param_fetch( $_ ) ; > > $params = $cgi->{$_} ; > > > > > > > > This was a known issue > http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/modperl/embperl/98672?search_string=CGI.pm > and has been fixed in Embperl 2.4 > > > In fact, that older method will not work (and is not documented to work) > > for CGI any more.
