Jon, don't be so hard on him. You know that EMC2 has tools to provide image
processing, in python I think, not MATLAB, that allows you to convert image
(gif) into series of drilled dots, or even video screen capture too. That is
why I did not reply immediately to this one. I think that EMC can be
successfully used in image processing, just the methods are a bit...
old-styled. Mostly involving line-art and simple graphical constructs like
circles, spirals and such. (I hope that you will not try to correct or
vastly improve anything I said here ;-))
