I see that John Thornton has asked for a checkbox in stepconf for selecting gedit as the default editor. IMO this ought to be a default INI setting so that it's in there on all of the configs we send with an install. If a user wants something else, let them edit the INI with their favorite or remove the line if they want no editor.
While some might consider this a feature add, I'd rather see it in the next release. I'd even volunteer to do the work if there are no complaints in the next few days.
