Just wondering:

When I made the driver for the Opto ac 5, I used Linux PCI driver calls 
writel() and readl () to write and read the ports.
Was this bad (blocking) or slow for the realtime thread? I think there is a 
more direct way (using a pointer?)
Can anyone comment?
