Sure but the thread was about the GPL, and more specifically your mistaken interpretation that led you to incorrectly assert that distributing these firmwares is not allowed under the GPL. You are not suggesting that mistakenly including a config.log in a source package (if in fact we accidentally do that) is a GPL violation are you?
