You did the original compile and package building on a Lenny machine, 
didn't you?  What gcc version did you use on that machine?  That's where 
the build dependency should come from, since you generally need to use 
the same compiler to compile the kernel, RTAI, and anything you want to 
use with the kernel or RTAI (like EMC2).
