Greetings.
I am looking for opinions/comments on the current state of pncconf.
If anyone has the time and the interest I would appreciate it.
Enough works now (I think lol) that someone could critique it before
I start to finalize things.
It should be able to produce a runnable configuration for servo or
hardware steppers if you keep to the basics. I have made some
configs and loaded them but I have no machine to really test it.
The mesa test panel should work, definitely for GPIO and depending on the
firmware for other components (the panel originally was built for the 5i20
and 8_4 firmware)
The open loop motor test should work.
the spindle page is pretty much non functional.
switching the GUI from AXIS to TKemc is kinda cool
add components page is new and experimental still
I am quite happy how the Mesa page works (except slow update)
though I am open to new and different ideas.
Keep in mind that The mesa firmware needs a link made as per the manual
it loads trunk firmware.
What I am looking for :
a different perspective then mine.
important things I should add or delete,
basic flow to the pages
eg. does the page order make sense or what info is on what page
could something be made more intuitive?
I am really interested if someone with a Mesa 5i22 and/or 7i43 could at least
try the mesa test page and tell me what needs to be fixed - I only have a 5i20.
general thoughts, ideas, encouragement.
Be prepared to see some scary stuff if you actually look at the code- :)
especially in the Mesa page it is very long, complicated, and slow
most things I have done, I've done for the first time (had to look up
how to do them )
I need to go back and audit/ rethink but that will wait till I am closer to
being done.
Thanks for any help
Cheers Chris M
