I made some changes that I think will work but I'm having 
problems with building the package. When I issued :

debian/update-dch-from-git

I got this error:

    --candidates <n>      consider <n> most recent tags (default: 10)

fatal: ambiguous argument '..': both revision and filename
Use '--' to separate filenames from revisions
parsechangelog/debian: warning:     debian/changelog(l2):
 found eof where expected start of change data
Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at 
/usr/share/perl5/Dpkg/Fields.pm line 201, <STDIN> line 2.

The changefile has this in it:
