I have tried to update my EMC2.3.5 to the (pre-com-iled) 2.4.x version, but was
not successful after following the instrunctions on the linuxcnc website.
No update happend after a re-boot of the machine.
I then downloaded a fresh copy of the LIVE CD and re-installed Ubuntu with
EMC2,
including disk partitioning. I found that EMC2 was not updated, again.
I then followed the System/Admin etc instructions again, and was able to only
obtain EMC2 ver. 2.3.0, which is an even older version from the one I started
with.
Please advise.
