Hello, I have a question about EMC and the underlying realtime kernel, since the Linux RT-Preempt patches are 'almost' included in the mainline now, is there any effort to port EMC to this platform ?
Also does anybody have a 'educated guess' about the complexity of this operation ? RT-Preempt basicly uses POSIX for the realtime stuff, but I have not used RTAI for about 5 years ... so I don't know the extent of changes necessary. I might be willing to give it a go, and the question is then, which version ? If I have read everything right a new 2.4 release is about to be released soon ? The two things I would like to see is support for USB based controllers, and RT-Preempt , but I would like the opinion of all the developers with some experience. / best regards, Lars Segerlund. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start uncovering the many advantages of virtual appliances and start using them to simplify application deployment and accelerate your shift to cloud computing. http://p.sf.net/sfu/novell-sfdev2dev _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
