Hi guys.

While working on pncconf to set up controlling a spindle,
some questions have come up:

- Would it not be a good idea to limit rpm and acceleration of the spindle
in EMC's motion module?

- it would be nice to have g96 max rpm setting as a HAL pin, so an LED could
show that rpm is maxed out because of gcode setting and also to override
up-to-speed (not sure if that is necessary)

I was thinking of gear changes too.
would it not be good to have a scheme like tool changes to aid adding gear
ranges?
I'm thinking like an m code that :
stops spindle
puts up a HAL gear change request number (taken from m code ?)
sets a gear change request bit signal
waits for a gear change finished signal.

Thoughts ?
