Hi Jacky,

The docs are all ready translated to French for the most part but have 
not been updated for some time. Some chapters have not been translated.

To see what has not been updated you can compare the French docs to the 
English ones here:

If you visit the html pages you can see which ones have not been 
translated at all.

The docs are in the process of being converted from LyX to Ascidoc so 
any text editor can be used to edit them.

We do use git as a version control so you would have to install that and 
submit patches as you translate.
