re "separate from emc" - well, the interpreter could close the sqlite database 
after each T/m6/m61/offset setting operation, it's a low overhead thing so in 
theory it should be accessible from a third-party process even while emc is 
running

re tool holder separate from tooling: a given tool would be in certain holder 
at any time so the holder would still be a property of the tool (?)

I'm unsure how the toolholder property would be used for; I can imagine driving 
a 'requires/does not require a tool length measurement'

re two heads: I'm running out of imagination; how does one drive a 'dual head 
machine' with EMC? any examples?

btw while at it: tool wear fields - important? number of loads, total time 
loaded while interpreter runnning, anyone dare to compute cutting distances?
