Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Chyn2000 (chyn2000) >Assigned to: Sebastian Kuzminsky (seb_kuzminsky) Summary: emcrsh : strings ending with just \n, and not \r\n ignored Initial Comment: Hello, I would like to ask for either more robustness added to the parser handling incoming strings, or documentation stating that the incoming strings should be terminated with \r\n. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why emcrsh wouldn't respond to my home brew telnet program (the start of a C based remote interface for EMC2). I figured it was my code until I finally dissected the emcrsh server code. Thanks a lot for all the amazing work done to make EMC2 so flexible and still very usable! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Sebastian Kuzminsky (seb_kuzminsky) Date: 2011-05-31 10:13 Message: I've been using emcrsh some lately, i'll add a manpage. In the meanwhile, have you seen the documentation on the wiki? It doesn't mention the line endings issue you ran in to, but it's got lots of other good info: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/emcinfo.pl?Emcrsh ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=106744&aid=3309505&group_id=6744 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Simplify data backup and recovery for your virtual environment with vRanger.
