A chap appeared on the Forum with an PCL720 ISA card controlling a
router (the original DOS-based PC died in a lightning strike, the
software won't run on the replacement). The card has 32 digital
inputs, 32 digital outputs and an on-board 8253 counter/timer. There
is an almost identical PCI version.

I wrote a very simple driver for the DIO in .comp, and ignored the
counter/timer. Looking at the 8523 spec I don't think it does anything
in an EMC2 context that isn't more transparent and configurable done
in HAL via the DIO.

So, is it worth submitting the driver to the project? Where? Would it
go in the main branch, or as a "User contributed Component"?
Does this warrant inclusion in "EMC2 Supported Hardware" on the Wiki?
