Hi all,

Michael put up a github repository with changes for preempt-rt.

It was previously discussed how we would bring them in, and it was
said they would go in 2.4 something .

My question is hot to go about this, am I correct in assuming the
following workflow ?

 1. I check out latest

 2. I cherry pick an isolated change ( fx. rtapi for preempt-rt )
( preferably one that doesn't break anything )
I don't know if it should be tagged or how to cherry-pick changes
to specific files and such, I'm not that good at git.

 3. I generate a patch and put on the list ? With a request to pull.

Since you have to build with preempt-rt ( EMC ) , it doesn't really
affect any parts already present, so I don't think there should be a
problem.
I don't see why we couldn't bring it all in without breakage, the
makefiles and such is the only parts which could cause breakage.

 Comments ?

 / best regards, Lars Segerlund.
