Thats actually backwards (in EMCs vhdl source) the IM version is ok (3) but
the 12 channel on the non- IM version is broken (6)
This is broken in the PIN_SV12_2X7I48_72.vhd file line 145 (6 should be 3) in
EMCs git repository
(this is not a file that I have)

3 is correct (for muxed encoder pins 3 through 5 = encoders 6 through 11)
